- Governing Law refers to the laws of the state of Delaware, United States.
- Service refers to our financial education platform which facilitates loans between family and friends but does not provide lending services directly.
Account Registration and Responsibilities
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for any activities under your account.
Accuracy of Information and User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when using Janji-Ku. We do not verify the accuracy of user-provided data and are not liable for any errors, omissions, or misrepresentations. Users agree to update their information promptly and understand that providing false information may result in account termination and potential legal action.
Account Termination and Suspension
Janji-Ku reserves the right to suspend, disable, or terminate your account at our discretion without prior notice if we determine that you have violated any of these Terms, provided false information, or engaged in fraudulent activities. If your account is terminated, you may not re-register for our services without explicit written permission from Janji-Ku. We may block your email address, IP address, or other identifying information to prevent further registration.
Governing Law and Compliance
These Terms and your use of the Service shall be governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved under Delaware law.
Prohibited Uses and Conduct
You agree not to use Janji-Ku’s services for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the platform or its users. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to, engaging in fraudulent activities, harassment, impersonation, unauthorized access, posting harmful or offensive content, and violating applicable laws or regulations. Janji-Ku reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any violations.
Credit Rating System
- Green Point: Awarded for repayments made within seven days of the due date.
- Amber Point: Awarded for repayments made after the seventh day but before the next due date.
- Red Point: Assigned for any missed payment within the month.
Credit ratings are for educational purposes only and are not shared with third parties unless required for compliance with laws, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or with expressed consent of the borrowing party.
Third-Party Services and Liability
Janji-Ku may utilize third-party services to facilitate certain features of our platform, such as payment processing and data storage. Users acknowledge that Janji-Ku is not responsible for the actions, content, or data management practices of these third parties. By using these services, you agree to the terms and conditions set by these third parties, and Janji-Ku disclaims liability for any damages resulting from the use of these third-party services.
Compliance with Legal Standards
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA): Payment reminders are neutral and sent at reasonable times to comply with FDCPA regulations.
- Consumer Protection Laws (CFPB): We provide clear terms and privacy policies that outline how borrower data is used.
- SHIELD Act and FTC Data Privacy: We use strong encryption, secure data storage, and a breach notification process to protect user information.
Dispute Mechanisms
All disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Delaware, as per the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis, and users waive their right to participate in class action lawsuit or jury trial. Each party shall bear its own costs unless otherwise awarded by the arbitrator. Arbitration will be conducted individually, and any award rendered by the arbitrator shall be final and binding.
User Notification
Janji-Ku reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to users via email and through in-app notifications at least 30 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after the notification period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Data Breach Response
In the event of a data breach, Janji-Ku will notify affected users within 72 hours of detection. Notifications will include details of the breach, affected data, and steps being taken to mitigate the damage. We will provide guidance on how users can protect themselves from potential misuse of their data.
Security of User Content
While Janji-Ku takes reasonable measures to protect user data, we utilize third-party service providers for certain features, including data storage and payment processing. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their content and ensuring it complies with applicable laws. Janji-Ku is not responsible for unauthorized access to, or the alteration, deletion, destruction, or loss of, user content due to factors outside our control.

Janji-Ku does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. The information on our platform is for educational purposes only and should not be construed as such. Users are encouraged to consult with a qualified professional before making any financial decisions or entering into any loan agreements using our Service.
Limitation of Liability
Janji-Ku is not liable for any losses incurred due to unpaid or partially repaid loans. Users engage in lending and borrowing at their own risk, and our platform only facilitates loan documentation and reminders.
Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
Janji-Ku provides the service on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Janji-Ku does not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Janji-Ku shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.
Intellectual Property Rights
All content on the Janji-Ku platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Janji-Ku or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without express written permission from Janji-Ku.
User Consent
Users consent for Janji-Ku to store information requested to operate the platform, to receive payment reminders and participate in the rating system and understand that these are key features of the app.

By using Janji-Ku, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including notices about your account, legal updates, and promotional materials. Janji-Ku will use reasonable means to ensure the security and privacy of these communications.
Updates and Modifications
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
